The grade 4's have been working through multiplication and division problems using their inventive strategies. They are recognizing the most effective and efficient manner to work through a problem and come to a conclusion. We are working to understand algorithms in multiplication and division and what they represent in the real world.
Students in science are using the scientific method to prove their modifications have an impact on complex machines. Bike computers are being used to measure distance and speed. Questions such as "What is your sample size?" can be heard in the classroom as our scientists discuss their findings.
The space seeds have now come a full lifecycle as we are beginning to harvest.

It was an action packed day at Telus Spark. The students took part in the Shadow Play Production program as well as had a hands on experience with the Dinosaurs in Motion exhibit. Fun was had by all! Thank you to our parent volunteers for accompanying us on this adventure.
This week in grade four humanities students continued to work on their protected park persuasive iMovies. Each group paired up with the same park group from the other grade four pods to share and give feedback. This allowed students to enhance their iMovie with peer feedback and learn from each other.

Mini Me to We Bake Sale
The Mini Me to We elective group will be holding a bake sale on Monday at noon. There will be a variety of baked items available priced from $1 to $2. Proceeds will be used to buy small gifts to be included in the Calgary Food Bank birthday bags.
